I finally got around to making our first real video. I hope you guys enjoy it. Yesterday was my oldest daughters wash day. I removed her braids the day before and put her hair into two ponytails. I normally try to switch up her shampoo every other wash or so and decided to use our Kids Organic Shea Butter shampoo to cleanse her hair. Next we used Bee Mines Deep Conditioner and I left it on her hair for probably about 15 minutes while she watched TV.
I applied Kinky Curly Knot Today to help detangle her hair for combing and drying. I lightly pull her hair to stretch it out for blow drying. This method has helped tremendously with growth and styling her hair. She has a ton of shrinkage and this helps make it easier to style.
Next I used Kinky Curly Curling Custard to help her hair to stay twisted. I love this product. This is the only thing that I have found that actually helps hold her twist. It is definitely a staple of ours.
Well check out the video for any other details.
Later!

Who is in the "Know"
As I mentioned before, we have been following some of the other hair blogs. I am so thankful to have come across Beads Braids and Beyond and Braid With Me. I sometimes don't know that I would have gotten this far with my daughter's hair without these ladies and their blogs. I remember sitting at the computer one day thinking "if I can only find a site that is about african american girls hair and how to manage it." Then I came across Beads Braids and Beyond and thought that my daughter's hair is nowhere near the same texture or length at this little girls, but the tips and tutorials can be used for any type of hair! So I just need to say "thank you" to these ladie for creating your blogs. I can only hope that someone can be inspired by my daughters journey the way I was by others.
Introduction to our "hair" world
She was a lil chunky monkey back then (I miss those days)! You can tell how much shorter her hair was. Here is a photo taken recently (June).
You can tell it has gotten much thicker over the years.
Our blog will be a place that we will review products that we have tried, some have worked, some not so much, but we will go over all of them with you! As well as I will be posting my daughter's regimen soon. Please check back for more as we talk more about my daughters' hair care.
